Getting the perfect outfit sorted for wedding season can often be quite the challenge. You have got the dress, heels, bag and hair to get sorted… but then there also is the time-consuming task of sorting out your makeup. And on a hot, sunny day, the last thing you want to do is wear a full face of heavy makeup - trust me I have been there…
Last year I was a bridesmaid on what seemed like one of the hottest days of the year and it was sweltering. So with that in mind, I have put together a really simple wedding guest makeup look that is super versatile, but more importantly quite lightweight and simple.
I was very kindly gifted these products to create a simple wedding guest makeup look from Cosmetify. They consider themselves to be a “beauty comparison website” with thousands upon thousands of beauty products to choose from - like an overwhelming amount, so a dream for anyone makeup obsessed! As they partner with the likes of Feel Unique, Look Fantastic, Fragrance Direct and more, they have everything from skincare, makeup and hair care products to electricals and toiletries. I could honestly spend hours browsing through all the products!
So with the use of a few products, you can create this super easy wedding guest makeup look. It requires very little effort and removes the need for really heavy eye makeup.
Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon in Champagne Diamonds
This eyeshadow pencil is honestly something else! You can get it in a range of shades tailored to your eye colour. So as I have blue eyes, I went with Champagne Diamonds which is my recommended shade. It is a really pretty shimmery gold/bronze shade, that happens to be quite versatile as I feel like you could pair this with quite a few different lipsticks.
You just need to sweep this over your eyelids and then use your fingertips to blend it in - super easy! You can even do a faint line of it under your bottom lashes to add a little more brightness to your eyes. It is so, so easy to blend because of the creamy texture, so even if you don’t feel comfortable when it comes to eyeshadows, this is the easiest thing to use - especially as it is pencil form.
Eyeko Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner
With a fitting name like ‘Eye Do’, what other eyeliner could be relevant for a wedding look?! This Eyeko eyeliner is a great product to include in your makeup look as like the Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Stick, it is also waterproof. I am definitely an emotional person, so having waterproof makeup at a wedding is essential!
In a pen form, this eyeliner is super easy and precise to use. If you don’t feel confident doing a flick at the corners of your eyes then you don’t have to. You can just do a simple line across your top lashes to enhance them. But if you do decide to go with a classic flick, you can easily tidy it up with a cotton bud after.
Bourjois Volume Reveal Mascara
This mascara is honestly my absolute favourite. I can’t rave enough about how good it is for giving your lashes length and volume. You could definitely get away with this mascara on its own and no false lashes. The plastic brush makes it easy to coat each lash without them getting clumpy.
Another great reason for including this in the look is the packaging. On the side on the tube is a little mirror, so it is a great one to just pop in your clutch on the day of the wedding for when you need a little top-up.
MAC Matte Little Lipstick in Mehr
Described by MAC as “a dirty blue pink”, this lipstick is such a gorgeous shade to complete your makeup look. The shade brings together the simple eye makeup look as it is a little darker than your classic nude lipstick with its mauve tones. I really like the colour as it is so versatile with what you can pair it with.
What’s more, as this is a little lipstick, you can easily fit this in your clutch bag as I know I always struggle for space. This is the perfect size to just pop in your bag ready for top-ups throughout the day.
